Designar Studio ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect through designar.eu, why we collect it, and what rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Who we are
The data controller is Sten Millend, operating as Designar Studio, based in Finland.

What data we collect
Contact form. When you send us a message we receive the details you enter: your name, email address, and optionally your company name, website, the service you are interested in, and your project description. We use this data solely to respond to your enquiry and to prepare a proposal if you request one. Legal basis: taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Newsletter. If you subscribe, we store your email address to send you occasional practical notes on web, e-commerce and AI automation. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can unsubscribe at any time by emailing us, and every newsletter will include an unsubscribe option.
Analytics. We use Rybbit, a privacy-friendly analytics tool, to understand how the site is used. It does not use cookies, does not track you across sites, and does not store personal profiles. IP addresses are not retained in a form that identifies you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Server logs. Our web server and Cloudflare (our content delivery and security provider) process technical data such as IP address, browser type and requested pages to deliver the site securely and to prevent abuse. Logs are kept for a short period and then deleted. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Where your data is stored
Form submissions and newsletter signups are stored on our own server hosted within the European Union. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties except the infrastructure providers needed to run the site (hosting and Cloudflare), each bound by their own GDPR-compliant data processing terms.
How long we keep it
- Contact enquiries: as long as needed to handle your request, and up to 3 years afterwards if it relates to a project or may lead to one.
- Newsletter emails: until you unsubscribe.
- Accounting records connected to actual projects: as required by Estonian law (7 years).
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@designar.eu. We respond within 30 days.
If you believe we have mishandled your data, you can lodge a complaint with the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (aki.ee) or your local supervisory authority.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site or legislation evolves. The date at the top reflects the latest revision.
